PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible for performing a wide variety of complex electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects. Works from rough schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. May perform rework and quality testing.

 

LEVELING REQUIREMENTS

Highly Skilled Level: Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel. Requires assembly experience, intermediate arithmetic skills, the ability to use specialized equipment, read difficult instructions and schematics, maintain written records, and good soldering skills. Completion of a high school degree is preferred.

* Specialist Level: Works on assignments that are extremely complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may supervise the activities of other nonexempt personnel. Requires complex electronic and prototype electro-mechanical assembly, advanced arithmetic skills, the ability to use complex equipment, read difficult instructions and schematics, maintain written records, and excellent soldering skills.
